Engineering Manager - Logistics AI Agents

O projekcie: What's the role? We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a high-impact team developing next-generation agentic AI solutions for the logistics industry. Every day, millions of deliveries are planned and executed across cities and regions worldwide. The systems built by this team make those deliveries smarter and more efficient smoothing drivers’ workdays, helping customers receive their orders faster and more reliably, reducing operational costs for businesses, and lowering environmental impact by minimizing unnecessary travel, fuel consumption, and emissions. In this role, you will own the technical strategy and delivery of intelligent multi-agent systems that leverage HERE location and routing APIs to tackle some of the most complex challenges in last-mile and middle-mile logistics. You will manage a team of 5–8 engineers, partnering closely with our Product Management, HERE Location Platform teams, customer-facing teams, and even customers and partners to bring AI-powered capabilities from concept to production. What Do We Offer: - Truly international team of fantastic & talented people from 60+ countries worldwide, working from strong tech hubs located in Europe, the US, and Asia, along with multiple smaller locations - Work with cutting-edge, modern technologies - Flexible working hours & hybrid working environment - Medical coverage for you and your family - Yearly variable bonus - This role is eligible for the Creative Tax Incentive scheme in Poland (KUP) Wymagania: Who are you? - 5+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2+ years in engineering management or technical leadership roles - Strong hands-on development experience in Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js, with solid understanding of backend systems, APIs, and cloud-native architectures - Experience building or leading development of AI-powered applications, including LLM-based systems, RAG pipelines, or agent frameworks - Strong understanding of modern AI application patterns such as tool-using agents, retrieval pipelines, and integration of LLM systems with APIs and external data sources - Ability to rapidly prototype and evaluate new AI approaches, including effective use of modern AI development tools and coding agents (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Kiro, or similar) - Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern CI/CD deployment practices - Background in location services, GIS, logistics, or data analysis domains, with understanding of geospatial data and last-mile optimization challenges - Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience working in cross-functional enterprise environments and building collaborative, high-performing teams Codzienne zadania: - Lead and grow a team of software engineers, focusing on hiring, career development, performance management, and building a healthy, inclusive, high-performing team environment - Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture design, code reviews, prototyping, and guidance on critical implementations across AI systems and location-based technologies - Guide technical decisions around LLM-based systems, agent frameworks, geospatial data processing, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalable and reliable solutions - Work closely with product managers, customers, and partners to translate logistics workflows and product vision into clear engineering stories, technical tasks, and delivery roadmaps - Drive delivery and execution by aligning priorities, managing team velocity and quality, and ensuring predictable delivery of high-quality software - Contribute to the broader strategy of agentic AI technologies within our products while fostering a culture of technical excellence, experimentation, and cross-functional collaboration
