About the role
You'll join the AI Platform team to design, build, and maintain the platform behind the customer-facing AI tools. This is business/legal tech — software that helps entrepreneurs start, run, and grow their companies without drowning in forms, taxes, and compliance.
Day to day you'll work on systems for prompt management, model evaluation, and knowledge-base upkeep, while helping bring AI models into production and keeping the platform fast and reliable.
What you'll do
• Build and maintain APIs that bring generative AI models into production, with scalability and low latency front of mind
• Team up across functions to spot AI use cases, shape requirements, and ship solutions that move the needle
• Implement and tune inference workflows over large-scale pre-trained models
• Contribute to generative AI pipelines, supporting monitoring and ongoing performance
• Run experiments to measure models against real-world signals — fluency, coherence, factual accuracy
• Track advances in generative AI research and fold new techniques into the platform
• Keep deployed AI systems reliable, scalable, and secure, and document the decisions behind them
Must-have
• 4+ years in ML/AI engineering, including work on generative AI products
• Solid LLM foundations: prompt engineering, AI feature evaluation, and vector databases
• Hands-on with LLM design patterns — RAG plus broader retrieval (vector search, semantic search, document indexing)
• Experience with Vertex AI or a similar managed AI platform
• LLM evaluation frameworks: dataset management, recall testing, LLM-as-judge patterns
• Working knowledge of MLOps: deployment, model monitoring, CI/CD
• Node.js and/or TypeScript, especially building and maintaining API services
• REST API design and versioning
• PostgreSQL — schema design, migrations, JSONB
Nice to have
• Familiarity with the GCP ecosystem
