Senior Backend Engineer

About Us We are a young company that builds AI agents for business supply chains. Our system connects ERP, email, and other tools. It finds problems and shows them right away, with full information. People do not need to search in many systems anymore. The right issue comes ready for action. Our agents do real work, like processing orders, handling payments, matching purchase orders, checking invoices, and reconciling payments. We work with companies that produce and ship physical goods. We cooperate with partners from different industries, such as fashion, industrial products, and consumer brands. We help them reduce process time by up to 75%. We are a small team working mostly asynchronously, based around Copenhagen. We are building something important. About the Role We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who wants to take ownership of problems, not only complete tasks. You will work on topics like bank reconciliation for older ERP systems. You will decide what to build, how to build it, and deliver it. You will make technical decisions that will influence the future of the system. This role is for someone who is comfortable with unclear situations. We will not give detailed instructions. We will share user problems, and you will find the best solution. What You Will Do • Take full ownership of problems, from understanding the user need to delivering the solution • Make important technical decisions and help define system architecture • Work independently and decide what to build next • Deliver updates often and improve based on real user feedback • Communicate clearly in writing and work well in an async team What We Are Looking For You are a good fit if you: • Treat the product like your own and take initiative • Focus on building useful solutions for users • Communicate clearly in writing and work well without constant meetings • Feel motivated by unclear problems and take action • Like learning new tools, technologies, and domains Technical Requirements • Strong backend experience and production systems • Experience with data integration (APIs, webhooks, file processing, ETL, etc.) • Good SQL and relational database skills Nice to Have • Experience with workflow tools (like Airflow or similar) • Experience with graph databases or complex data models • Experience in early-stage startups • Experience with AI agents or LLM systems • Experience running AI systems in production (monitoring, testing, etc.) Our Tech Stack (You Can Learn It) • Golang (backend) • Vue/Nuxt (frontend, but this role focuses on backend) • GCP and PostgreSQL • Tools for AI agent workflows Note: You do not need to know all of these already — we expect you are used to switching between technologies and learning new tools quickly. What Success Looks Like In your first 90 days, you will: • Deliver several features to production • Start deciding on your own what to build next • Make technical improvements to the product • Gain trust to manage work independently • Introduce at least one improvement to the codebase
