IDEAS RESEARCH INSTITUTE was established by the Ministry of Digital Affairs and the Ministry of National Defense. Our goal is to build the largest space in Poland conducive to conducting innovative research, as well as to educate a new generation of scientists focused on the practical application of developed algorithms and their subsequent commercialization in industry, finance, medicine, and other sectors of the economy. We are looking for:

Position: Senior Gen Ai Engineer at Impact AI Lab (F/M)

Type of employment: contract of employment

1.     Your responsibilities
Join the most technologically advanced Scientific Institute researching AI in Poland. In this role, you will work at the absolute cutting edge of technology, solving highly non-trivial problems with significant societal impact, particularly within the public administration sector. You will be part of an ambitious team pushing the boundaries of applied Generative AI, creating innovative prototypes, and overcoming strict market constraints. Your daily work will involve:
·       Designing, developing, and implementing state-of-the-art (SOTA) Gen AI and agentic systems;
·       Rapid prototyping of AI solutions, tailored specifically for the public administration sector with strict regulatory and market constraints;
·       Deploying and running local models on constrained computational resources, actively optimizing systems across multiple axes;
·       Managing the end-to-end MLOps lifecycle for deployed Gen AI systems;
·       Applying a scientific mindset to solve complex engineering problems using the latest technological advancements.
 

2.    Our requirements:
·       Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or highly related field;
·       Proven commercial experience as an AI/ML Engineer with a strong focus on Generative AI and LLM orchestration or serving tools. (at least 3 years);
·       Mandatory, hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs);
·       Deep, fundamental understanding of model architectures and how they work under the hood;
·       Practical knowledge of industrial technologies used to build agentic workflows and systems;
·       Experience in the full MLOps lifecycle for Gen AI models (from deployment to monitoring and optimization);
·       Nice to have: Experience with VLLMs, classic Deep Learning, and standard Machine Learning frameworks;
·       Huge plus: Published research papers in the field of Generative AI;
·       Huge plus: Proven record of building backend or frontend for agentic solutions
