Senior Software Engineer – AI Focus
We are among the leading online shops in Switzerland in both B2C and B2B – a combination that is unique in Europe. Behind this is one of the most modern logistics systems on the continent: highly automated, scalable, and with great potential for expansion.
With us, you don’t just develop software. You bring your personality, actively help shape the department, and influence the e-commerce of tomorrow.
What to expect
• A small and new team with really good engineers who work pragmatically and with a lot of drive on one of the most relevant topics of our company.
• A greenfield environment with Node.js, TypeScript, and Java – and a large-scale scaling problem that you can really sink your teeth into (in the best sense).
• A pragmatic, agile setup: A Product Manager is not yet on board – so you will have a lot of direct contact with the business, refine requirements yourself, and actively contribute to architecture and product questions.
• Lots of creative freedom and the chance to have a real impact on the entire company.
What you bring with you
We match if you
• bring 10+ years of solid experience in modern, product-oriented software engineering and have already worked on complex, distributed systems – ideally in crawling, e-commerce or comparable domains.
• develop AI-first: 90%+ of your code is created with AI – and you know exactly how to maintain quality and control.
• build systems that work for AI: In-code ADRs, agent files, MCP integrations, multi agent setups, or autonomous loops are not foreign words to you but everyday terms.
• consistently align your processes with AI: spec-driven refinements, automated PRs, AI-supported reviews – while confidently managing the mental load of parallel work.
• rely on strong, deterministic quality gates: tests, linting, and static code analysis are for you the foundation that makes AI-generated code trustworthy.
• live architecture: you use DDD, Clean/Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Design, and decoupling sensibly and pragmatically – including SOLID principles.
• are a strong advocate of “You build it, you own it” – including infrastructure and CI/CD, which you build and operate yourself.
• persevere through complex problems and have the resilience to see topics through to success.
• are a warm-hearted communicator who values an open learning culture, enjoys building personal connections within the team, and can laugh at good jokes.
We probably don't fit well together if you
• see AI as a scary black box and prefer not to work with Claude Code & Co.
• prefer frameworks like SAFe or projects that start with a requirements specification.
• have mainly worked in highly regulated areas – without experience in a fast-paced, product-oriented environment with distributed systems.
• feel more comfortable with role models where infrastructure, backend, frontend, testing, and product thinking are clearly separated.
• see continuing education primarily as the employer's responsibility – instead of learning on your own initiative, on the job, at an evening event, or with a good book.
• are more frustrated than motivated by imperfect systems – spoiler: we are not there yet.
• strictly separate work and good mood 🙂
Ready to build bold AI-first solutions, take real ownership, and shape the future of e-commerce with us? Then we’d love to hear from you.
