Our platform supports regulatory monitoring, compliance checks, and data-driven decision-making across regions, helping replace manual, spreadsheet-based processes with automated, scalable solutions. GFComply operates with two core teams: - Development Team (platform & technology) - Data Team (regulatory intelligence & data structuring) Role Overview We are looking for a Regulatory Data Specialist to join our Data Team. This role sits at the intersection of regulatory science, data engineering, and automation. You will transform complex regulatory information into structured, high-quality datasets that power GFComply’s automated compliance checks and calculations. This position is ideal for someone who understands food/chemical/biological regulations and enjoys working with data models, scripting, and AI tools. What We Offer - Opportunity to work on a cutting-edge compliance platform - A role combining science, regulation, and technology - Collaborative environment bridging data and development teams - Direct impact on compliant product innovation globally Profile We Are Looking For You are: - Comfortable working between scientific content and technical implementation - Detail-oriented with a systems mindset - Motivated to replace manual processes with scalable solutions Wymagania: Domain Expertise: - Background in food science, chemistry, biology, or related field - Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks Technical Skills: - Proficiency in Python - Knowledge of SQL and relational databases - Experience or interest in LLMs / AI prompting Data Skills: - Experience in data structuring, normalization, and validation - Ability to work with heterogeneous data sources - Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Nice-to-Have - Experience with regulatory databases or compliance tools - Knowledge of global food regulations (EU, US, Codex, etc.) - Familiarity with ontologies or scientific identifiers - Experience with data pipelines or ETL processes Codzienne zadania: - Extract and interpret regulatory information (e.g., food laws, additives, substances, labeling rules) - Convert unstructured regulatory texts (PDF, HTML, etc.) into structured, tabular datasets - Ensure accurate mapping of substances, conditions, and regulatory constraints - Design and maintain data models and formats aligned with GFComply requirements - Normalize and standardize data (units, nomenclature, identifiers) - Manage data conversion workflows for integration into the platform - Cross-check structured database content against original regulatory sources - Ensure consistency, traceability, and scientific accuracy - Maintain high-quality datasets suitable for automated compliance checks - Develop scripts and workflows to automate data extraction, transformation, and validation - Contribute to AI/LLM-assisted workflows for regulatory data processing - Work closely with the Development Team to integrate data into GFComply - Support improvement of compliance algorithms and calculations
