Azure Architekt

The Azure Architect is responsible for designing and delivering high-quality cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and automated cloud platforms, while supporting teams in adopting best practices and cloud-native approaches. Purpose & Responsibilities The Azure Architect provides technical leadership and guidance across cloud platform initiatives, acting as a subject matter expert in Azure architecture and automation. The role involves close collaboration with platform, product, security, and operations teams to design, implement, and continuously improve a fully automated cloud environment. The architect also supports teams in applying automation and cloud best practices throughout the full lifecycle of their products and platforms. Key Responsibilities / Deliverables • Design and implement automation processes for application and infrastructure deployment • Develop reusable infrastructure-as-code modules (e.g. Terraform) for internal consumption • Evaluate Azure services and define standard automation patterns • Contribute to the design and hands-on delivery of a fully automated Azure cloud platform • Produce technical documentation ensuring compliance with security and operational standards Key Stakeholder Interactions • Collaborate with enterprise architecture and security teams to define standards and guardrails • Support product and platform teams in adopting cloud platform capabilities and new features • Provide technical input, updates, and reporting to management as required • Work with operations teams to enhance and evolve the platform in response to incidents or operational needs Success Metrics • Availability and reliability of the cloud platform • Measurable value delivered through automation of manual processes • Quality and maintainability of delivered solutions • Adoption of cloud platform features and services • Stakeholder feedback and satisfaction Skills & Experience • Strong technical expertise in Microsoft Azure and cloud architecture patterns • Solid understanding of cloud security principles and best practices • Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, PowerShell, automation runbooks) • Familiarity with agile and continuous delivery practices • Strong design and problem-solving skills Ways of Working / Methodologies • Experience with modern software delivery methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) • Relevant Azure certifications are an advantage (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Expert) Professional Attributes • Hands-on and pragmatic architectural approach • Strong leadership and collaboration skills
