Enterprise Architecture - Graduate Program

Team Description:

You will be part of the Enterprise Architecture Pan-E team which currently serves as a cross-functional team across European entities providing services like Business Strategy Support, Programme & Project Support, Standards Management & Integration Strategy and Platform. 

Role summary:

As a Graduate Architect, you will begin your journey in Enterprise Architecture by supporting domain architects in mapping capabilities, documenting standards, and contributing to architectural initiatives across European entities. This is a structured development role designed to build the foundations of a well-rounded future architect — combining exposure to business strategy, technical design, and stakeholder collaboration in a complex, multi-country environment. 
 

Your responsibilities:  
 • Architecture Support & Learning  
• Support Domain Enterprise and Solution Architects in the delivery of architectural activities across assigned domains 
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of capability models, process maps, and architecture documentation 
• Assist in preparing architecture presentations and materials for stakeholder and governance forums 
• Develop familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman, and apply them under guidance 
• Learn and apply ArchiMate as a modeling language within BiZZdesign 
• Documentation & Standards  
• Assist in creating and maintaining clear technical documentation including architecture principles, standards, and policies 
• Support the maintenance of architecture pattern catalogs and anti-pattern registers 
• Contribute to the upkeep of the technology radar by researching emerging technologies relevant to the domain 
• Help ensure documentation remains accurate and up to date as the architecture landscape evolves 
• Business & IT Understanding  
• Develop a working understanding of assigned business domains and how IT supports their objectives 
• Support business analysis activities including requirements gathering, process mapping, and identifying improvement opportunities 
• Learn to connect business context to technical solutions, building the foundations of effective business-IT alignment 
• Gain exposure to domain strategy development and roadmap activities 
• Technical Foundations  
• Build foundational knowledge across solution architecture, data architecture, integration patterns, and cloud infrastructure 
• Develop awareness of security architecture principles and how they are incorporated into solution designs 
• Gain exposure to AI, machine learning, and other emerging technologies and their architectural implications 
• Support solution architects in reviewing technical designs and preparing documentation 
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement  
• Work collaboratively with architects, business analysts, project managers, and technical teams 
• Develop communication and presentation skills through regular exposure to stakeholder interactions 
• Participate in architecture governance forums as an observer and contributor 
• Build relationships across European entities and begin developing stakeholder management capabilities 

Required Qualifications 
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree ( in an IT-related domain )  or been working within an IT domain with any kind of experience 
• You should be knowledgeable in the Software Development Lifecycle and ideally have come from an IT development background 
• Experience not mandatory but will be an advantage if you have had exposure to a large organization 
 
Preferred Qualifications  
• Exposure to architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman) through academic study or personal interest would be great 
• Basic programming knowledge (Java, JavaScript, Python or similar)  
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) at a foundational level  
• Any relevant internship or placement experience in IT, architecture, or business analysis 
 
Certifications (Nice to Have) 
• TOGAF Foundation (or willingness to pursue) 
• Any cloud foundation-level certification (e.g. AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals)

• Working Pattern: Hybrid — 2 to 3 days per week in the office, with flexibility for travel to Head Office in Brussels
