NetSuite Developer

Client Our client is one of the largest and most prestigious professional certification associations in the global finance industry, is engaged in a critical, ongoing transformation initiative. Position overview We are seeking an experienced NetSuite Developer to support a major client project. This role requires strong knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)—including requirements analysis, design and documentation, implementation, verification, and ongoing support. The ideal candidate will be skilled at applying best practices and leveraging native NetSuite functionalities to deliver efficient, scalable, and maintainable solutions. Responsibilities • Execute all phases of the SDLC: requirements analysis, solution design, documentation, implementation, testing/verification, and support • Maximize the use of native NetSuite features to build high‑quality, performant solutions • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and internal teams, leveraging existing implementation resources and senior leadership guidance to drive operational improvements Requirements • Strong experience working with REST APIs, including developing custom APIs within NetSuite • Ability to troubleshoot, enhance, and optimize API performance • Solid expertise with SuiteScript 1.0/2.0, SuiteTalk, and SuiteCloud platform components • Proficiency using version control systems such as GitHub and tools such as SuiteCloud CLI and SDF for development and deployment • Experience with automated deployment of NetSuite objects, scripts, and configurations • Proven ability to refactor and modernize legacy codebases (e.g., migrating from SuiteScript 1.0 to 2.0+) • Deep understanding of Order‑to‑Cash processes and experience customizing/automating workflows in NetSuite • Familiarity with major eCommerce platforms such as BigCommerce, Shopify, or Magento Nice to have • Extensive experience with Revenue Recognition processes and related automation to ensure compliance and operational accuracy • Familiarity with NetSuite’s Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) module, including revenue arrangements, revenue plans, and associated record types
