Network Security Architect

Summary The primary objective of the Network Security Architect role is to design and secure network architectures, especially in operational technology (OT) environments. This position focuses on enhancing the security posture of manufacturing and utility enterprises whilst ensuring compliance with safety standards. Main Responsibilities The Network Security Architect will be responsible for the following core duties: • Design and implement OT network architecture and hardening measures. • Manage firewalls and IDS/IPS systems across IT and OT networks. • Conduct asset discovery and establish monitoring mechanisms. • Develop secure network designs including cloud connectivity solutions for OT. • Perform documentation and architecture reviews to maintain best practices. • Implement segmentation strategies in brownfield OT environments without disrupting uptime. • Collaborate with plant operations and safety teams to enforce security measures. • Secure manufacturing plants, utilities, and energy environments through effective risk assessments and gap analysis. • Design and maintain Industrial DMZs and secure vendor access protocols. Key Requirements • 12+ years of experience in network security. • Expertise in OT network architecture and hardening. • Proficiency with firewalls and IDS/IPS (IT & OT). • Experience with asset discovery and monitoring technologies. • Strong documentation skills and experience with architecture reviews. Nice to Have • Experience with cloud solutions, specifically in Azure and SaaS environments. • Prior experience working in brownfield OT environments. • Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies related to OT. • Familiarity with designing Industrial DMZs and vendor access controls. Other Details Location: Bangalore. Work Environment: Collaborative with plant operations and safety teams. Reporting Lines: Possibly reports to IT Security Manager or Operations Manager.
