Senior Camunda Specialist (Banking Industry)

Our client within the banking and insurance sector has implemented an insurance claims handling platform using Camunda Business Process Orchestration. As part of a retrospective review and continuous improvement initiative, the client is looking to engage a highly experienced Camunda Specialist to assess the current implementation and provide recommendations on architecture, orchestration patterns, scalability, operational efficiency, and overall utilization of Camunda features and best practices. The current environment is running on Camunda 8.7, with an ongoing upgrade process to Camunda 8.8. The target environment for this assignment will therefore be Camunda 8.8. The implementation is focused purely on process orchestration. No UI functionality has been implemented within Camunda. • Start Date: 2026-08-10 • End Date: 2026-12-31 • Location: Helsinki, Finland The consultant will be expected to: • Review and assess the existing Camunda implementation and orchestration design • Identify improvement opportunities, optimization areas, and best practice recommendations • Evaluate architecture, scalability, maintainability, and operational setup • Review deployment and runtime setup in containerized environments • Provide recommendations related to Camunda 8.8 capabilities and improvements • Collaborate with internal development and platform teams • Support knowledge sharing and provide guidance on future improvements where relevant Must-Have Competence & Experience • Deep hands-on expertise with Camunda Business Process Orchestration, specifically version 8.8 or later • Strong experience working in containerized and cloud-native environments • Experience with:• Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (MKE) • Helm Charts • CI/CD pipelines • ElasticSearch • Ability to perform technical reviews and provide architectural recommendations • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Nice-to-Have Competence • Experience developing solutions in Java and/or Kotlin • Experience from banking, insurance, or other highly regulated industries Profile We are looking for a senior consultant with strong advisory capabilities combined with deep technical expertise within Camunda and modern containerized platforms. The ideal consultant should be comfortable reviewing existing implementations, challenging current approaches constructively, and proposing pragmatic improvements aligned with enterprise best practices.
