Senior Cloud Engineer / Architect - GCP (f/m/n)

About the role We're building a Cloud Center of Excellence that owns the cloud foundation for the entire engineering organization. You'll design the architecture, automation, and governance that other teams build on - not just deploy workloads, but define how workloads get deployed. If you think about infrastructure as a product and want real ownership over cloud strategy, this is that role. What You'll do: • Design and implement a cloud-native platform architecture on GCP • Build scalable guardrails for multi-team, multi-environment setups with compliance requirements • Create reusable infrastructure that enables self-service provisioning • Define cloud governance: IAM strategies, organizational policies, policy-as-code • Write design documents and represent technical divisions in cross-team and leadership forums What we're looking for: • Strong hands-on experience with GCP (AWS/Azure background is complementary but not a substitute) • Production Kubernetes experience - networking, security, tenancy, lifecycle management • Terraform at the module-authoring level, not just the consumer level • Solid networking fundamentals: VPC design, CIDR planning, DNS, hybrid connectivity • Experience working in compliance-driven environments (SOC2, PCI-DSS, or similar) • GitOps methodology and tooling • Observability stack experience (metrics, structured logging, tracing) • Clear technical communication - you can write a design doc and defend it What will stand out: • You think about infrastructure as a product with users, SLOs, and developer experience • You've designed cloud foundations for organizations, not just individual projects • You build patterns that scale and enable others, rather than solving things one-off • You know how to get buy-in across teams and navigate the human side of platform work • You raise the technical bar for the people around you What do we offer? • Remote work opportunity across Poland. • Access to e-learning platforms- eTutor, GoodHabitz, Data Camp, and more. • A wide range of benefits, including the MultiSport+ card, private healthcare, and group insurance, is available on the Worksmile platform. • External and internal growth opportunities - conferences, trainings, workshops.  • Chances to broaden your skill set and acquire new competencies through daily work, challenging projects, and training activities.
