Senior Solution Architect with Java and AWS, Cloud Transformation Platform

Project overview This project focuses on cloud transformation activities that enable scalable, secure and high-performance applications built with Java technologies and AWS cloud services. The work includes defining solution architecture, guiding engineering teams and supporting the development of cloud native components across several business initiatives. Team You will collaborate with architects, backend engineers, cloud specialists and delivery teams operating in a structured and transparent environment. The team works across multiple workstreams with regular communication, shared ownership and a focus on engineering excellence. Position overview We are looking for a Solution Architect with strong experience in Java development and AWS cloud architecture. You will define end-to-end solutions, guide engineering teams and support the creation of resilient and cost-effective cloud applications. This person will collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical designs and ensure that architectural solutions align with modern cloud principles. Technology stack Java, Spring, Hibernate, AWS EC2, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, AWS RDS, AWS ECS, CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, CI CD tools Responsibilities • Lead the design of scalable and secure solutions using Java and AWS services • Collaborate with stakeholders to collect requirements and translate them into architectural designs • Define architecture blueprints, reference models and design guidelines • Guide development teams on Java frameworks and AWS best practices • Evaluate AWS services to improve performance, cost and security of solutions • Support cloud adoption activities, including migration, automation and CI CD pipeline design • Ensure compliance with security practices, policies and regulatory standards • Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews and design discussions • Stay informed about new cloud technologies and recommend improvements Requirements • 7+ years of experience designing enterprise applications in a Solution Architect role or similar • Experience with Java and frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate • Experience architecting and deploying applications using AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS and CloudFormation • Understanding of cloud architecture principles, microservices and serverless patterns • Experience with infrastructure as code tools, including Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible • Understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker or Kubernetes • Understanding of security practices in cloud environments • Experience working in Agile or DevOps-oriented environments • Proficiency in communication and stakeholder collaboration Nice to have • AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch or ELK • Experience with CI CD tools, including Jenkins, GitLab, or CodePipeline • Background working with e-commerce platforms
