Senior Solutions Architect

Join a high-stakes, long-term project for a major Polish public institution (ZUS). The goal is a large-scale architectural transformation, shifting from monolithic structures to a modern Domain-Driven Architecture. We are looking for an Architect with a "big picture" mindset, capable of redesigning legacy systems using DDD patterns, microservices, and event-driven communication. Details • Location: Warsaw (Hybrid). • Duration: 12-month contract with a strong option to extend. • Sector: Public / Insurance domain. • Start Date: ASAP. Responsibilities • Architectural Transformation: Leading the migration of monolithic systems to microservices and domain-based bounded contexts using the Strangler Pattern. • Domain Modeling: Implementing Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles to partition systems into manageable, scalable domains. • Tech Strategy: Designing private cloud environments, Event-Driven Architectures (EDA), and implementing Data Sharding and Data Mesh concepts. • Modernization: Overseeing the replatforming of legacy Java, C/C++, C#, and Tuxedo applications. • Standards & Modeling: Creating architectural documentation using UML/ArchiMate in tools like Enterprise Architect. Requirements • Experience: Minimum 5 years in IT, including at least 48 months as a Domain, Solution, or Enterprise Architect within the last 7 years. • DDD Expertise: Participation in at least 3 projects involving DDD, focusing on domain division or monolith-to-microservices migration. • Architectural Frameworks: Practical knowledge of TOGAF (or similar) and Enterprise Architecture standards. • Deep Tech Knowledge: Advanced Infrastructure: Private cloud, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC). • High Availability: Designing for HA, DR (Disaster Recovery), and Observability. • Integration: Asynchronous communication and Event-Driven designs. • Public/Enterprise Background: Experience working with large state institutions or major enterprise players (e.g., Ministries, PZU, PKO BP, Energy sector). Nice to Have (Skills Mapping) • Certification (or equivalent knowledge) in: TOGAF, CEA, Certified Software Architect. • Specific experience with Tuxedo replatforming and Change Data Capture (CDC). • Knowledge of Case tools (Enterprise Architect).
