ServiceNow Platform Owner
Team description:
We build and maintain the middleware systems that support Toyota’s digital systems and mobility solutions.
Our work supports multiple applications used for in‑car multimedia services, EV charging platforms, factory digitalization, data‑driven projects and online sales technologies.
By ensuring continuous service availability and integrating key tools, we enable teams across Europe to develop and operate digital solutions reliably.
Job Summary:
The ServiceNow Platform Owner is accountable for the strategy, governance, stability, and continuous evolution of the ServiceNow platform supporting NMSCs, EMCs, and overall TME. This role ensures the platform delivers reliable business value, adheres to enterprise standards, and enables scalable, secure service management capabilities across regions.
The Platform Owner acts as the single point of accountability for platform health, roadmap, demand prioritization, and stakeholder alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Strategy & Governance
• Own and maintain the platform vision, roadmap, and operating model.
• Define and enforce platform standards, guardrails, and best practices across NMSCs, EMCs, and TME.
• Establish and monitor KPIs (including QCD metrics) to measure platform performance and value delivery.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance requirements.
• Chair or contribute to platform governance forums and design authorities.
Demand & Stakeholder Management
• Act as the primary point of contact for regional stakeholders and business owners.
• Intake, assess, and prioritize demand in line with strategic objectives and capacity.
• Balance global standardization with regional needs.
• Facilitate regular stakeholder reviews and roadmap alignment sessions.
• Communicate platform updates, risks, and decisions transparently.
Service Quality & Delivery Oversight
• Define and enforce quality gates for platform changes and releases.
• Ensure adherence to DevOps best practices.
• Monitor platform stability, performance, and service availability.
• Oversee incident, problem, and change trends affecting the platform.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the platform ecosystem.
Financial & Vendor Management
• Own the platform budget, including licensing, run costs, and change investments.
• Track and optimize total cost of ownership.
• Manage vendor and partner performance against SLAs and contractual commitments.
• Support business case development and value realization tracking.
Platform Architecture & Technical Oversight
• Provide high-level technical direction for the ServiceNow ecosystem.
• Ensure solution designs remain scalable, maintainable, and aligned with platform standards.
• Oversee instance strategy, upgrade planning, and technical debt management.
• Promote reuse of common services and capabilities.
• Partner closely with architects, engineering teams, and ServiceNow SMEs.
Compliance, Risk & Security
• Ensure platform compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain audit readiness and documentation standards.
• Manage platform risks and remediation plans.
• Enforce data governance and access control policies.
Required Qualifications:
• Proven experience owning or managing enterprise IT platforms
• Strong understanding of SDLC, ITSM, ITOM and platform governance models.
• Experience working in multi-regional or federated environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholders and complex demand pipelines.
• Solid knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and ITIL practices.
• Experience with budget management and vendor governance.
