Billennium is a global technology and outsourcing company delivering innovative digital solutions for international organizations. We are currently looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join a strategic long-term project delivered for one of our clients from the Big Pharma industry.
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the architecture of a complex deployment and configuration management ecosystem that supports business-critical applications and workflows used globally.

Your Mission
As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for defining and maintaining the target architecture of a complex deployment ecosystem, ensuring consistency across platforms, integrations, workflows, and configuration management capabilities.
You will act as a key architectural authority, collaborating with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, Technical Leads, and Business Stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
This position focuses on architecture ownership, solution design, governance, and implementation enablement rather than hands-on software development.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture
• Define and maintain the end-to-end solution architecture across multiple systems and workflow capabilities.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, business objectives, and delivery needs.
• Establish architectural principles, standards, and implementation guardrails for engineering teams.
• Support design reviews, governance activities, and stakeholder alignment.
Data & Configuration Architecture
• Own the architecture of the central Configuration Backbone / Datastore.
• Define data model principles, configuration lifecycle management, versioning concepts, and interoperability standards.
• Establish approaches for data ownership, governance, validation, synchronization, and reuse.
• Design scalable and maintainable integration patterns between repositories, platforms, and applications.
Integration & Platform Design
• Define API strategies and event-driven integration patterns.
• Design architecture supporting configuration import/export, synchronization, and workflow orchestration.
• Ensure seamless integration across deployment tools and connected enterprise systems.
• Guide teams on implementation approaches and architectural best practices.
AI & Emerging Technologies
• Support adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices.
• Define architectural guardrails for responsible AI usage, including quality control, validation, and human review mechanisms.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on integrating LLM-based capabilities into development workflows.
• Evaluate AI technologies, models, and architecture patterns to support scalable adoption.
Architecture Governance
• Create and maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
• Document architectural decisions, trade-offs, dependencies, and implementation impacts.
• Ensure traceability between architecture, technical design, and delivery execution.
Required Experience
Architecture & Design
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Lead Architect within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong background in distributed systems, integrations, and enterprise application architecture.
• Experience creating architecture standards, governance processes, and technical strategies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and senior stakeholders.
AWS Cloud Expertise
• Strong experience designing multi-account AWS environments using Landing Zone and/or AWS Control Tower.
• Deep knowledge of:• EC2
• ECS / EKS
• AWS Lambda
• S3
• RDS / DynamoDB
• API Gateway
• Strong networking expertise:
• VPC architecture
• VPN / Direct Connect
• Security Groups
• Environment segregation
• Experience with:
• IAM and least-privilege access models
• KMS and secrets management
• High availability and disaster recovery architectures
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation)
• Cloud cost optimization (FinOps)
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements such as GDPR, SOC2, or similar.
AI / LLM Experience
• Experience integrating Large Language Models into engineering or business processes.
• Hands-on knowledge of:• Amazon Bedrock
• Azure OpenAI
• OpenAI API
• Similar AI platforms
• Understanding of:
• Prompt engineering
• Context management
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• AI governance and safety controls
• Experience defining quality standards and monitoring approaches for AI-assisted outputs.
