Solution Architect (.NET / Azure)

On behalf of a client within the healthcare technology sector, we are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to support the evolution and long-term architecture of a business-critical clinical platform used for digital patient care reporting and healthcare data management. The assignment focuses on defining and maintaining the overall architecture while ensuring scalability, reliability, security and alignment with the product roadmap. The role sits close to both product management and development teams and requires a consultant who can combine architectural ownership with hands-on technical leadership in a modern Microsoft-based environment. Key responsibilities • Define and maintain the target architecture for a large-scale healthcare platform • Ensure architectural consistency across backend services, UI components and system integrations • Own application architecture, UI architecture and integration architecture across the platform • Define and validate non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, availability, reliability and security • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams • Review and validate solution designs and major technical decisions • Establish and enforce architectural standards, principles and best practices • Mentor senior developers and technical leads across the development organisation • Support product teams by contributing to backlog prioritisation from a technical sustainability perspective • Drive modernisation initiatives including cloud adoption, automation and scalability improvements • Contribute to architecture governance structures and documentation standards • Define and support long-term technical strategy aligned with the product roadmap • Ensure compliance with security, data protection and healthcare regulatory requirements Technology environment • Microsoft .NET / C# • ASP.NET Core and REST APIs • Blazor (Server and/or WebAssembly) • Distributed systems and microservices architecture • SQL Server and database design • Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, hybrid cloud) • CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools • Security and compliance frameworks relevant to healthcare systems Consultant profile • 7+ years of experience in senior software engineering, technical leadership or architecture roles • Proven experience designing and governing complex distributed or enterprise systems • Strong background in Microsoft-based enterprise architectures (.NET / Azure) • Experience with modern web UI frameworks such as Blazor or similar technologies • Experience guiding development teams and validating architectural decisions • Strong understanding of non-functional architecture aspects including performance, scalability, availability and security • Experience collaborating closely with product management and development teams • Ability to communicate architectural concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Fluent Danish and English • Experience working in regulated environments is an advantage Practical details Location: Aalborg area, Denmark (hybrid setup) Start: As soon as possible Duration: Long-term assignment, 6+ months
