Solution Architect Payments (Banking)

emagine is looking for a Solution Architect within the Payments area to one of our amazing banking clients. Start: ASAP End: 2025-11-10 Location: Stockholm (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) Introduction & Summary: emagine is seeking an experienced Solution Architect in the Payments sector to join a leading banking client. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of financial services and payment products, alongside a passion for technology design. The role demands an experienced professional with over 9 years in payments architecture, capable of making significant technical decisions and facilitating architectural deliverables. Main Responsibilities: The Solution Architect will take the lead on defining the architectural framework and strategies. Responsibilities include: • Designing and developing target and transition architectures. • Creating architectural roadmaps and runways. • Facilitating end-to-end flow creation with stakeholders. • Involving in detailed solution design alongside Business Analysts and Product Owners. • Collaborating with Development Teams to drive successful project outcomes. • Engaging with diverse stakeholders across the organization. • Assisting in managing ambiguity within large projects. • Supporting teams across Payment Channels and Processing Platforms. Key Requirements: The successful candidate must possess the following: • 9+ years of experience as a Payments Solution Architect. • Strong foundation in banking and financial services. • Proficiency in creating architectural deliverables. • Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, OpenShift). • Strong communication and presentation skills. • Experience in both waterfall and Scaled Agile project environments. • Fluency in English. Nice to Have: Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include: • Experience with DevOps practices. • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders. • Flexibility in work style and adaptability to team needs.
