Backend Developer (Java)

We currently have teams based in Malta, Lisbon (PT), Sofia (BG), London (UK) and Bucharest (RO). Our hybrid work model encourages regular in-person collaboration while also allowing flexibility to work remotely. Long story short, you will We are looking for a mid-level Backend Developer (Java) to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of integrations connecting our platform with external systems. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that all integrations are performance, stable, and fully aligned with our internal standards. You will design and implement reliable backend components that support seamless data flow, system interoperability, and long-term scalability. This position plays a key role in strengthening the technical foundation of our platform by delivering high-quality, compliant, and resilient integration solutions. All the responsibilities we will trust you with: - Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other developers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable Java applications. - Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices and coding standards. - Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and performance of software applications. - Continuously identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance software functionality and performance. - Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Java development and incorporate them into our projects as appropriate. - Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and other team activities to foster collaboration and learning. - Provide technical support and assistance to other team members as needed.
