The Role We are seeking a Client Delivery Director to join emagine and be onsite with one of our key clients in Investment Banking. This is a hands-on Leadership role, operating at the centre of a complex delivery landscape. You will act as emagine’s senior representative within the client, accountable for delivery outcomes, consultant oversight, and the continued growth of the account. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will lead delivery across critical initiatives, contribute directly where required, and ensure successful execution within a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Client & Technology Environment You will be operating within a complex investment banking technology landscape, supporting delivery across front-office, risk, and trading systems. Our consultants are typically engaged in: • Python-based development within distributed, enterprise-scale systems • Delivery of risk, pricing, and analytics platforms supporting global markets • Working across multi-asset environments (e.g. fixed income, commodities, equities) • Collaborating with traders, quants, and engineering teams in high-performance environments Increasingly, programmes are also focused on: • Integration of AI and data-driven capabilities into trading, risk, and operational workflows • Development of data platforms handling large structured and unstructured datasets • Leveraging automation and advanced analytics to enhance decision-making and efficiency As Client Delivery Director, you will be expected to engage credibly across this landscape—bridging architecture, delivery, and business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Delivery Leadership & Execution: • Lead and deliver complex technology and transformation initiatives within the client environment • Own delivery outcomes, ensuring quality, timelines, and objectives are met • Actively contribute to delivery where required, stepping in to drive execution Client Engagement & On-Site Leadership: • Act as the primary senior contact within the client environment • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders • Navigate organisational complexity and drive alignment across teams Consultant Leadership & Team Management • Lead and manage emagine consultants deployed within the account • Ensure alignment, performance, and delivery quality across all engagements • Provide guidance, support, and escalation management as required • Act as the central point of coordination between consultants, client stakeholders, and emagine • Foster a high-performing, collaborative delivery environment on-site Account Growth & Commercial Ownership: • Identify opportunities to expand services within the account • Support growth of the engagement footprint and long-term client relationship • Contribute to commercial discussions and strategic account development Operational & Risk Management: • Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the account • Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges • Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and delivery excellence Skills & Experience Technical Background: • Strong foundation in software engineering, systems design, or architecture • Currently operating at solution or enterprise architecture level • Strong Python capability, with experience delivering within complex systems • Able to engage credibly with technical teams, architects, and senior stakeholders Domain & Industry Experience: • Experience working on or alongside front-office, risk, or trading platforms within investment banking or capital markets • Understanding of market risk concepts (e.g. VaR, FRTB) and financial instruments • Exposure to multi-asset environments (e.g. fixed income, commodities, equities, derivatives) • Experience working with large-scale data systems and enterprise platforms Experience • 10+ years’ experience across software engineering, architecture, or technology delivery roles, with progression into leadership positions within complex enterprise environments • Proven track record delivering complex programmes and initiatives within large-scale organisations • Experience operating in client-facing, on-site, or embedded roles within enterprise environments • Experience within financial services or capital markets, or similarly complex, regulated industries • Proven experience building senior client relationships that have contributed to account growth, expansion opportunities, and increased consulting footprint Core Skills • Hands-on delivery mindset with strong accountability for outcomes • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills at senior level • Ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-paced environments • Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and shape opportunities • Ability to bridge technical, delivery, and business perspectives Our People In this role, you will act as a senior anchor within client engagements—driving delivery outcomes while shaping solutions and guiding teams across the full lifecycle.
