As an Engineering Manager, you will shape and grow high-performing engineering teams that build impactful, high-quality digital products. You will oversee both JavaScript-based frontend and Java-based backend solutions, ensuring technical excellence, sound architectural decisions, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will combine hands-on technical leadership with people development, acting as a trusted technical authority for delivery teams, supporting presales initiatives, and advising both internal stakeholders and clients on scalable, future-ready solutions. What you will do: Technical Delivery & Engineering Excellence 🔹Own technical quality, architecture, code standards, and engineering best practices across frontend (JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular, Vue.js) and backend (Java, Spring Boot, microservices) stacks 🔹Manage and optimize the full SDLC: development workflows, testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, QA processes, and security practices 🔹Make and validate architectural decisions, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability of solutions 🔹Ensure system stability, oversee incident management, and drive SRE practices 🔹Perform architectural and code reviews, jumping into projects when needed to diagnose issues and propose recovery plans Team Leadership & People Management 🔹Lead and manage engineering teams, including Tech Leads, setting technical direction and delivery standards 🔹Drive people management activities: regular 121s, performance reviews, feedback, and career development planning 🔹Coach and mentor Tech Leads and engineers, fostering technical growth and leadership capabilities 🔹Participate in recruitment processes and team building initiatives 🔹Foster team wellbeing, motivation, and a collaborative engineering culture Presales & Technical Advisory 🔹Partner with Delivery Managers during proposal phase: providing architecture options, technical feasibility assessments, risk analysis, and reliable estimations 🔹Propose technology solutions, integration patterns, and technical recommendations for new projects 🔹Act as a technical advisor for clients, translating complex technical decisions into business language 🔹Provide technical clarity in unfamiliar domains or new solution areas Delivery Collaboration & Engineering Health 🔹Collaborate closely with Delivery Managers in a dual leadership model 🔹Manage capacity planning, team allocation, and technical resource planning 🔹Monitor engineering health metrics: velocity, cycle time, bug rate, test coverage, code quality, and team morale 🔹Drive continuous improvement initiatives across teams The profile we are seeking: ✅7+ years of software engineering experience with a full-stack mindset ✅3+ years of experience leading technical teams, managing Tech Leads, and scaling engineering capabilities ✅Strong expertise in frontend technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js) ✅Strong expertise in backend technologies: Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and RESTful API design ✅Proficiency in using AI tools to drive engineering productivity ✅Experience in designing and reviewing software architecture, making technical decisions, and defining technology roadmaps ✅Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP ✅Deep knowledge of SDLC, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern engineering practices ✅Strong people management skills: conducting 121s, providing feedback, talent development, and recruitment ✅Excellent communication skills with ability to navigate priorities in multi-stakeholder environments ✅Experience in software consulting, digital agency, or product development environment ✅High accountability, systems thinking, and a bias for structure, clarity, and action ✅English proficiency at C1 level (daily communication with international clients) Nice to have: ✅Experience with mobile technologies (React Native, Flutter, or native iOS/Android) ✅Background in banking industry, wealth management, insurance ✅Experience supporting presales activities and proposal reviews ✅Experience in working with Saudi Arabia companies and clients ✅Track record of building communities of practice or leading engineering transformation initiatives ✅Higher education degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) What Can You Expect from Us? 🌍Career & Development – Trainings, workshops, and collaboration with top industry experts 🌍Exciting Challenges – Work with leading financial market brands and award-winning projects 🌍Supportive Team – Knowledge sharing during Wednesday Wisdom meetings & tech breakfasts 🌍Autonomy & Innovation – We welcome your ideas and initiatives 🌍Stable Collaboration – Clear, transparent B2B agreements in line with current regulations, ensuring mutual trust and predictability 🌍Work-Life Balance – Flexible working hours and a culture that values personal time 🌍Hybrid or Remote Work Model – It’s up to you 🌍Perks & Benefits – Private medical care, Multisport card, English lessons, training budget, and more 🌍Trust & Transparency – Open communication and a culture of feedback Ready to make a difference and grow with us?
