Java Developer (Core Java, Trading Systems)

O projekcie: We are hiring a Java Developer to work for a well-established US Nasdaq-listed financial services company. This is an exciting opportunity to work remotely, joining a development group tasked with building and enhancing a mission-critical platform for scalable, real-time execution.  You will be developing high-throughput, low-latency, event-driven multithreaded applications leveraging Core Java and large-scale distributed real-time systems architecture. Primary responsibilities include creating new features, adapting existing re-usable components, optimizing market data communication, and upgrading current software to ensure product performance and quality expectations are met. Please note that the working hours must overlap with New York business hours. We strongly prefer a full 8-hour overlap (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM US Eastern Time), but require a minimum of 6 hours of overlap during this window. Wymagania: Required Qualifications - Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. - Minimum 5 years of Core Java development experience. - Experience building high-throughput, low-latency event driven multithreaded applications using Core Java. - Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures. - Strong analytical skills to help development and support teams troubleshoot and fix production issues. - Deep understanding of large-scale distributed real-time systems architecture and implementations. - Broad exposure to at least one cloud platform: AWS, Google, Azure. - Experience with Oracle PL/SQL programming. - Good written and verbal communication skills in English. - Strong ability to interpret business requirements. - Creative problem solver. Benefitical Skills & Experience - Experience with Cassandra, Redis or Kafka is a strong plus. - Experience with JavaScript. - Experience with HTML, CSS, JSON, and XML. - Experience with UNIX / Linux operating systems. - Experience working on a fixed-income trading platform.
