Java Developers - Krakow - Poland

We are looking for experienced Java Developers to join our team in Kraków.
This role is suited to developers with a strong background in backend development, experience working on complex systems, and the ability to take ownership of technical tasks.
Requirements
• Minimum 8 years of commercial experience in Java development
• Strong knowledge of Java 11/17/21
• Solid experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience developing microservices and REST APIs
• Good understanding of SQL and relational databases
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD processes
• Experience working in Agile teams
• Good understanding of software design principles and best practices
• Good communication skills and English proficiency
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Java-based applications
• Design and implement backend services and APIs
• Develop, deploy and maintain applications on GCP
• Work on system improvements and performance optimization
• Participate in technical discussions and code reviews
• Investigate and resolve technical issues
• Collaborate with developers, testers and other project stakeholders
• Support the delivery of reliable, maintainable software
Nice to Have
• Experience with GCP services such as Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL or BigQuery
• Knowledge of distributed systems
• Experience in banking or financial services
• Experience with high-volume transactional applications
• Infrastructure as Code experience, particularly Terraform
