We are seeking a skilled Developer to join our agile squad within the financial industry, specifically focusing on market risk analytics. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in big data technologies with a solid understanding of Scala. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions for processing and analyzing large datasets to support market risk assessment and decision-making processes. - Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Design, develop, and maintain scalable data processing pipelines using Scala to ingest, cleanse, transform, and aggregate large volumes of market data. - Implement data quality checks and monitoring mechanisms to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data used in risk analytics. - Optimize and tune existing data processing workflows for performance and efficiency, considering factors such as latency, throughput, and resource utilization. - Work with cloud-based technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) to deploy and manage big data solutions in a scalable and cost-effective manner. - Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to automate deployment processes and ensure the reliability and availability of production systems. - Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and contribute to the overall improvement of software development best practices within the agile squad. - Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in big data and analytics, and evaluate their potential impact on improving market risk management processes. - Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the squad. - Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, presenting complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
