Mid PHP Developer (Remote)

What’s in store for you: You’ll be solving complex challenges and maintaining our own infrastructure with 60PB+ monthly data traffic. Here are its scale and maturity in numbers: - 6PB+ Ceph storage - 60PB+ monthly data traffic through our systems - 300k+ service requests/sec processed - 500k+ Kafka messages/sec streamed Your day-to-day: • Write and deploy clean PHP code to deliver new product features; • Troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, and ensure the application remains stable; • Refactor legacy code and improve existing logic while working on tasks; • Create unit and integration tests to prevent future bugs; • Review pull requests from teammates to share knowledge and catch errors; • Join team meetings to estimate tasks and discuss technical solutions. Your skills & experiences: • Have deep knowledge in PHP (Symfony framework is a must, other frameworks - nice to have); • Experience writing unit and integration tests; • Understanding of OOP, RESTful API’sStrong skills in software architecture & patterns; • Good knowledge of any message queue management system; • Experience in mentoring and supporting junior developers; • Being a team player; • Good communication skills within and outside the team; • Motivation to work with complex solutions; • Fluent in English. • Nice to have: • Experience with Scrum; • Hands-on experience with Go programming language.
