The Mission
WestCode is building a new engineering team for a greenfield international gaming platform.
You’ll help build backend systems around player accounts, wallets, payments and external integrations — with real ownership from technical design through production.
We’re looking for strong Java engineers who have worked in gaming, payments, fintech, e-commerce or other high-volume transactional environments and want to help build a new platform from the ground up.
What You’ll Build
• backend services with Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3
• APIs and microservices
• player, wallet and payment-related flows
• integrations with external providers
• event-driven and distributed systems
• high-volume transactional services
• reliable failure, retry and recovery mechanisms
• services designed for scale and high availability
You’ll also take part in technical design and architecture decisions and work closely with other senior engineers, QA and product.
Must Have
• 4+ years of backend engineering experience
• strong Java and Spring Boot
• microservices and distributed systems
• REST APIs
• Kafka or similar messaging
• SQL / PostgreSQL or similar
• Docker and CI/CD
• experience working with production systems
• good English
• ability to work independently and take ownership
Nice to Have
Experience in one or more of these areas will be very useful:
• iGaming, sportsbook or online casino
• payments / fintech
• wallets or transactional systems
• e-commerce or marketplaces
• complex third-party integrations
• high-availability or high-volume platforms
• Kubernetes
• AWS or another major cloud platform
• Kotlin or Scala
• observability with tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus or Grafana

Depending on the area, you may work with:

Working Model
