O projekcie: Get to know us better CodiLime is a software and network engineering industry expert and the first-choice service partner for top global networking hardware providers, software providers and telecoms. We create proofs-of-concept, help our clients build new products, nurture existing ones and provide services in production environments. Our clients include both tech startups and big players in various industries and geographic locations (US, Japan, Israel, Europe). The project and the team We develop software for modern platforms and operating systems for leading networking equipment manufacturers, as well as various other cloud-native, containerized services and solutions. We are looking for an engineer with a background in web API development and management to maintain and develop our customers' Gateway API product. What else you should know: - The client is based in the UK with employees in other EU countries - The project will be managed by Codilime EM, but close cooperation with the client’s representatives will be required - You will join an existing team of 2 Go developers, a QA engineer, and an Engineering Manager - At the start, you will focus on bug-fixing, but as your knowledge of the product increases, you will take part in new feature development We work on multiple interesting projects at the same time, so it may happen that we’ll invite you to the interview for another project, if we see that your competencies and profile are well-suited for it. As a Go Software Engineer, you must meet most of the following criteria: - Proficiency in Go programming language - Theoretical and practical knowledge of various technologies used for web APIs (Rest, Soap, GraphQL, TCP, gRPC) - Experience with SQL/no-SQL databases and storage/caching/queuing technologies (Redis, MongoDB, Kafka) - Experience with cloud products, Kubernetes, or other orchestration tools - Ability to work both independently and in a team - English at least B2 level, C1/C2 preferred Beyond the criteria above, we would appreciate the nice-to-haves: - Industry Authentication Standards (OIDC, JWT, Basic Auth, etc.) - Experience in front-end development using React, Angular JS, and HTML would be a huge advantage - Knowledge of theoretical principles and challenges of API management - Hands-on experience with CI/CD (Jenkins pipelines, Ansible, Helm, etc.) - Strong leadership skills and experience in communication with clients and requirements elicitation - Experience in working with Software Houses Codzienne zadania: - Researching and definig how to implement client requirements and ideas best - Taking part in technical discussions with the team and the client - Developing software mainly using Go, but other languages may also be required (e.g., Python for testing) - Creating unit tests for your code, conducting code review, creating documentation, and taking part in other activities related to software development - Fixing bugs efficiently and effectively, and find workarounds for blockers - Occasionally, taking part in technical pre-sales meetings
