.NET Tech lead

Project/Client: Fintech Start Date: ASAP Duration: 12 months Seniority: Tech Lead / Senior Language: English Role Overview: We’re hiring a hands-on .NET Tech Lead to drive engineering delivery for new payment-focused initiatives within a regulated fintech setting. This role blends technical leadership with active development. You’ll shape modern, secure, and scalable backend platforms used across European markets. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the technical design and delivery of backend systems using C# / .NET • Contribute directly to hands-on development while setting architectural direction • Build and maintain services supporting real-time and batch processing flows • Oversee integrations with external APIs, third-party platforms, and file-based interfaces • Ensure strong code quality through reviews, standards, and mentorship • Align architecture with security, compliance, resilience, and audit requirements • Work closely with product, compliance, and cross-functional engineering teams • Drive CI/CD practices, testing strategy, and technical documentation Must-Have Requirements: • 7+ years of hands-on experience with C# / .NET (Core / 6 / 7 / 8) • Experience acting as a Tech Lead or Senior Engineer on complex backend systems • Strong backend integration experience (REST, SOAP, SFTP, messaging, etc.) • Solid understanding of distributed systems, reliability, and secure coding practices • Strong database experience (design, performance optimization, and SQL — e.g., SQL Server or similar RDBMS) • Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments • Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines • Clear communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions Nice to Have: • Exposure to payment systems, banking integrations, or financial services • Familiarity with ISO 20022, SEPA, or financial messaging standards • Understanding of clearing, settlement, or financial transaction lifecycles • Experience with core banking platforms or digital wallet solutions • Experience with cloud-native architectures (Azure or AWS) Note: We’ll be in touch only with candidates who move forward to the next stage.
