Algomine, a company belonging to the TTPSC Group, is looking for a Python -based Data Analyst.Responsibilities: • Work closely with a team of data analysts and data scientists to deliver both common and custom types of credit underwriting insights , including but not limited to: Historical (actual) and future (projected) risk calculations, counterfactual simulations, model backtesting, projected business economic impact calculations. • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of customer-facing teammates to ensure the deliverables are accurate and on time. • Provide feedback to internal teams of data analysts, data scientists, and machine learning engineers to continuously improve internal processes and software. • Deliver outputs, often in the form of Python/Jupyter-based reports , within a Unix-based Conda-managed environment. Delivery will require the combined use of: ○ Open-source Python-based packages, typically used for data wrangling and statistical analyses, e.g., pandas, numpy, scipy. ○ In-house proprietary Python-based packages. • Conduct root-cause analysis as edge cases arise, resulting from unexpected or unintuitive analytical results , often stemming from incorrect or atypical information provided by our customers or business partners. • Independently use Python packages , which includes reviewing API docs to understand the functional use and reading source code for debugging purposes to obtain a desired outcome, as required. • Routinely use a distributed version control system, e.g., GitHub , as a part of your daily workflow. Requirements: • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a mathematical, statistics, analytics, computational, engineering, or computer science field • Strong proficiency with data wrangling, SQL queries, analysis, and visualization using pandas and numpy in Python. Comfortable with GitHub and basic Unix terminals. • Strong communication skills , with the ability to quickly understand problems, interpret results, and explain next steps/outcomes to technical collaborators. • Proficient statistical and analytical ability (e.g., early college-level math & statistics) to tackle data-driven problems. • Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects within their timelines.
