Senior ABAP Developer

Nasze wymagania: The Senior ABAP Developer position requires keeping SAP solutions stable, improving them continuously, and delivering enhancements with high quality, predictable outcomes, and production-first thinking. Core experience (must-have) ▪️5+ years (typical benchmark) hands-on ABAP development in productive SAP environments, with strong exposure to support/run operations (incidents, changes, problem management). Preffered areas of delivery: FI/CO, MM, SD. ▪️Proven ability to handle production issues: analyze dumps/logs, identify root cause, implement sustainable fixes, and prevent recurrence. ▪️Track record delivering enhancements using: - Classic ABAP / Fiori development. - Common object types: reports, enhancements/exits/BAdIs, batch jobs, forms, interfaces. Technical competence (must-have) ▪️Strong debugging & troubleshooting Confident with breakpoints, runtime analysis, log interpretation, and end-to-end issue isolation. ▪️Solid interface/integration fundamentals Experience building/supporting integrations such as IDoc, RFC, BAPI, file-based interfaces (and understanding how to troubleshoot them in production). ▪️Performance & quality mindset Ability to optimize code (especially data access patterns), improve runtime/batch behavior, and write maintainable code. Familiar with code review, testing practices, and transport/release discipline. ▪️Documentation & knowledge sharing Can produce clear technical documentation (runbooks, interface specs, job documentation, troubleshooting guides) and contribute to knowledge bases. Mindset for AMS excellence O projekcie: As part of our scalable and customer-centric AMS operating model, RCIM is searching for the Senior ABAP Developer as a supportive position for the “Run” phase of the customer lifecycle. The Senior ABAP Developer ensures that “Business Runs Smoothly” by maintaining and enhancing SAP solutions through stable, high-quality ABAP development, efficient incident and change support, and continuous improvement of performance, reliability, and maintainability. This position is a key pillar in building a proactive, automation-driven, and margin-conscious AMS organization—partnering closely with functional teams and customers to deliver predictable outcomes, reduce recurring issues, and keep the SAP landscape fit for purpose. Zakres obowiązków: In this position, you support the end-to-end operational stability and maintenance of assigned AMS customers. SAP AMS delivery & operational excellence ▪️Provide reliable ABAP development support in the “Run” phase (incident, problem, change, and service request fulfillment). ▪️Ensure stable service operations through fast analysis, sustainable fixes, and prevention of recurring issues. ABAP development & enhancements ▪️Design, develop, test, and deploy ABAP minor changes (reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms) aligned to business and technical requirements. ▪️Deliver enhancements across classic ABAP; apply clean coding and reusable design patterns. Integrations & interfaces ▪️Build and maintain SAP integrations (e.g., IDoc, RFC, BAPI, proxy/OData where applicable), ensuring robustness, traceability, and performance. ▪️Troubleshoot end-to-end interface issues with functional teams and middleware/integration colleagues. Performance & quality assurance ▪️Diagnose and optimize performance (SQL tuning, runtime analysis, efficient data access, batch/background jobs). ▪️Conduct code reviews, enforce development standards, and ensure quality via unit/integration testing and defect prevention practices. Change & release management ▪️Estimate effort, plan technical implementation, and deliver changes using established transport and release processes. ▪️Support cutovers and go-lives; ensure backward compatibility and controlled deployment. Problem management & root cause analysis ▪️Perform root-cause analysis for complex production issues; implement permanent corrections and document preventive actions. ▪️Reduce incident volume through systematic improvements and automation. Documentation & knowledge management ▪️Create and maintain technical documentation (solution design, interfaces, job documentation, runbooks, coding guidelines). Collaboration & stakeholder management ▪️Work closely with functional consultants, BASIS, security, integration, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
