About the project
You will join a CSHARK team delivering a project for our client, a technology company developing on-device AI audio and speech solutions.
Your main focus will be integrating the client's audio SDK directly into the Android platform, ensuring it works seamlessly within AOSP-based OEM builds.
You will work across the Android audio stack, native system components and hardware acceleration technologies, including NPU and DSP, to deliver reliable, high-performance audio solutions on real devices.

Your responsibilities
• Integrate the client's audio SDK into AOSP-based OEM builds.
• Develop and maintain Android platform components, including Audio HAL, AudioFlinger and AudioPolicy.
• Work with Qualcomm AudioReach and other DSP audio frameworks.
• Optimise audio processing and SDK performance on NPU and DSP hardware.
• Develop native components in C/C++ and framework-level components in Java/Kotlin.
• Ensure compliance with Android platform requirements, including SELinux, Treble and CTS/VTS.
• Collaborate with OEM partners, support integrations and troubleshoot platform-level issues.
What we expect
• Senior-level experience in Android platform development (AOSP).
• Strong understanding of Android audio architecture, including Audio HAL, AudioFlinger and AudioPolicy.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and experience with Java and/or Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience with Qualcomm AudioReach or other DSP audio frameworks.
• Practical knowledge of SELinux, Treble and CTS/VTS.
• Experience integrating software into OEM or SoC vendor builds.
• Fluent English.
Nice to have
• Experience running machine learning models on NPU/DSP.
• Knowledge of real-time audio processing.
