Senior Development Business Analyst

Description & Requirements We are seeking a Senior Development Business Analyst to join our Data Fabric team, with a strong focus on metadata. In this role, you will help define how data is described, discovered, related, and consumed—ensuring users can clearly understand what data exists, where it comes from, and how it connects across systems and business domains. Working at the intersection of business processes, data architecture, and cloud technology, you will partner closely with product management and engineering teams to translate complex requirements into scalable, cloud-based solutions. Your work will support consistent metadata models, schema definitions, and standards that drive confident data usage, interoperability, and measurable business value across Infor’s SaaS ecosystem. Key Responsibilities • Elicit, analyze, and document business and data requirements related to metadata, including Data Catalog and data relationship concepts. • Design and document business requirements and functional specifications for systems and process enhancements.  • Lead end-to-end analysis initiatives, from scoping to execution, to deliver valuable solutions for customers.  • Partner closely with product managers and software engineers and architects to refine and prioritize backlog items. • Create mockups or wireframes to visualize new features and improve user experience. • Review solution designs to ensure features are intuitive, scalable, and aligned to business outcomes. • Support quality assurance engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables. • Analyze gaps in metadata quality and usability, and recommend improvements. • Create and maintain adoption materials, user guides, and release documentation to support successful rollout and usage. Basic Qualifications • Experience as a Business Analyst in a software, data, or enterprise technology environment. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences. • Fluent in English • Experience in complex projects with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.  • Experience in business analysis methods and techniques.  • Strong experience gathering and documenting complex business requirements and translating them into specifications and designs for software developers and quality assurance engineers. • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail. • Experience in user interface design and usability considerations. Preferred Qualifications • Proficient understanding of JSON Schema, including defining, reviewing, and validating structured data models. Experience • Experience working with metadata management, data modeling, or enterprise data platforms. • Familiarity with data governance, metadata standards, and data quality. • Experience creating mockups or wireframes to support product and UX discussions About Infor Infor is where ambition meets impact.
