Senior Fullstack Developer / Tech Lead

As a Senior Developer / Tech Lead, you will lead a cross-functional team of 7 people (developers, QA, Business Analyst) and take ownership of your squad’s technical direction, code quality, and delivery. Teams are mixed frontend and backend - as the Tech Lead, together with the Senior Fullstack Developer, you are expected to provide technical coverage across both the frontend and backend layers (either through specialization split or fullstack capability). You will be the primary technical decision-maker within the squad, working under the guidance of a Delivery Manager (shared across 3 teams). This is a greenfield build - you will shape architecture, patterns, and standards from day one.   Responsibilities you'll have: • Lead a cross-functional team of developers, QA engineer, and Business Analyst through the full implementation lifecycle • Own the team's technical direction - make architectural and design decisions for both backend and frontend components • Ensure technical coverage across backend (Java, Spring, event-driven architecture, Postgres) and frontend (Flutter, React) within the team • Set and enforce code quality standards, conduct code reviews, and mentor mid and junior developers • Collaborate with the Delivery Manager, Business Analyst, and Product Owner to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Coordinate with other Tech Leads across teams to ensure architectural consistency and avoid duplication • Contribute hands-on to development - this is a coding leadership role, not purely managerial • Identify and escalate technical risks, blockers, and dependencies • Communicate technical decisions, progress, and trade-offs in English to stakeholders and cross-squad teams Expected competences and knowledge: • Min. 6 years of commercial experience in software development at senior level, with proven tech lead or team lead track record • Deep hands-on expertise in Java and Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud) • Solid experience with event-driven architecture (message brokers, asynchronous processing, event sourcing or similar patterns) • Working knowledge of Postgres or comparable relational databases • Experience with frontend technologies - either Flutter, React, or both. Fullstack capability or the ability to provide credible technical guidance on the frontend layer • Experience leading and mentoring a development team (architecture decisions, code reviews, technical coaching) • Fluent English - ability to communicate freely in a professional setting (spoken and written) Nice to have:  • Experience with Kafka or similar distributed messaging/streaming platforms • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services • Experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and containerized deployments • Prior experience in the financial services or banking domain • Experience building systems from scratch (greenfield projects) • Experience defining development standards and tooling for a new engineering organization   Technologies you'll work with • Java • Spring (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud) • PostgreSQL • Event-driven architecture • Flutter / React Nice to have: • Kafka • GCP • Kubernetes   Client – why choose this particular client from the Jit portfolio?
