Senior Java Developer

The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for building and improving solutions related to taxation, account management, and investment processing. The role involves working on scalable, secure financial systems that ensure high reliability and regulatory compliance.   Responsibilities you'll have • Support the upgrade of existing applications to Java 17 (at least) and Spring Boot 3.3.x, contributing experience from similar modernization initiatives • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications supporting savings and investment products • Build robust calculation engines that ensure compliance with current tax regulations across multiple countries • Implement solutions for complex business processes, including integrations with tax authorities and generation of customer-facing reports  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment • Collaborate with financial analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions   Expected competences and knowledge • Strong proficiency in Java and related frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.) • Experience with relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL, etc.) • Knowledge of OpenAPI and AsyncAPI for producing and consuming data • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines • Understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented programming principles   Technologies you'll work with • Java 17, 21 • Spring Boot • Hibernate • Postgres SQL • Messaging protocols (e.g. JMS, MQ) • SQL • OpenAPI • AsyncAPI • Git • CI/CD   Client – why choose this particular client from the Jit portfolio?
