Senior PHP Developer (WooCommerce / Magento)

For our Client – a UK-based company operating in the payments sector, developing modern payment solutions for e-commerce – we are currently looking for an experienced Senior PHP Developer. This role focuses on the development and maintenance of payment plugins used within leading e-commerce platforms. It is a great opportunity for engineers who have strong experience in PHP and e-commerce integrations and enjoy working on solutions that directly impact online payment ecosystems. 📍 Remote 100% & 0.25 FTE part time 🚀 Your role As a Senior PHP Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining payment plugins used by merchants within popular e-commerce platforms. You will work remotely while collaborating with a team based in the United Kingdom. 🎯 Responsibilities • Development and maintenance of payment plugins for WooCommerce (approx. 90%) and Magento (approx. 10%) • Implementation and improvement of integrations between payment systems and e-commerce platforms • Ensuring stability, performance, and reliability of payment plugins • Supporting the configuration and maintenance of Dev / Test / Production environments • Collaboration with the engineering team on improvements and feature development within the payment ecosystem 🧠 Requirements • 5+ years of professional experience in PHP development • Commercial experience working with WooCommerce and Magento • Good knowledge of HTML and JavaScript • Experience with Dev/Test/Prod environments in on-premise infrastructure and cloud environments (preferably AWS) • Understanding of e-commerce ecosystems and integrations • English at B2 level or higher ⭐ Nice to have • Broader experience in e-commerce platforms and payment integrations 💡 Why join • Opportunity to work on payment solutions used in e-commerce environments • Collaboration with an international engineering team based in the UK • Flexible remote cooperation model (0.25 FTE) • Work on products that directly support online business operations 📍Please note that we will contact only selected candidates.
