Senior Software Engineer

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Europe. Our client is a broker platform that offers brokers real-time risk. Required Skills: • At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer. • Proficiency in Java/Kotlin as primary skills. • Familiarity with TypeScript and Node.js as secondary skills. • Experience in designing and integrating REST APIs. • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP, including App Engine, Cloud Run, and GCS. • Experience with LLM APIs and handling non-deterministic outputs. • ETL and data pipeline expertise. • Ability to process spreadsheets or documents programmatically (e.g., multi-sheet Excel files, inconsistent headers). • Knowledge of event-driven architecture. Nice to have: • Experience in the insurance industry (SOVs, TIV, COPE data, property risk). • Lloyd's market experience. Responsibilities: • Integrate Circe into the SOV service for complete extraction: accept uploaded SOV files, initiate processing, and parse and validate the results. • Develop validation logic (e.g., TIV reconciliation, control totals) that can accept parameters through API. • Provide a REST API for communication of processing results to other systems. • Set up fallback routing when LLM extraction fails or the confidence level is too low. • Deliver architecture documentation, a production runbook, and a structured handover to the team.
