Job Description Pismo is looking for a Mid-Level Backend Engineer to join the Europe Localization team. As the company expands globally, the team focuses on developing new features tailored to local markets beyond the core platform. This role requires attention to security, scalability, observability, and reliability, supporting mission-critical systems. You will work closely with experienced engineers, contributing to high-quality solutions while continuously developing your technical skills. Work Model • Remote position (with occasional presence in a Visa office if required) Qualifications Basic Requirements • 2+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of relevant work experience Preferred Qualifications • 3+ years of experience (Bachelor’s) or 2+ years (Advanced Degree) Responsibilities • Develop and maintain backend services using Golang (or Java with willingness to learn Golang) • Implement new features, bug fixes, and system improvements • Collaborate with senior engineers on technical solutions and product refinements • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code • Support AWS infrastructure (Terraform) under guidance • Monitor applications using logs, metrics, and observability tools • Participate in code reviews • Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing • Work in Agile teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders Nice to Have • Experience with distributed systems • Experience in high-scale environments • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Docker/containers • Familiarity with event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, SQS) • Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) Language Requirements • English: minimum B1 level Additional Information Visa is an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
