For more information, please visit: https://astek.net Role Overview We are looking for a Junior Software Developer (she/he) to join a long-term development team working on a Spend Control Platform used by enterprise customers. In this role, you will work in a SAFe / Agile environment, combining backend software development with hands-on customer implementation and configuration. You will design scalable backend solutions, implement and migrate customer configurations, and support customer-requested logic changes, working closely with Product, QA, and Functional teams. The position offers a strong mix of engineering, problem-solving, and customer-facing collaboration, with real ownership of delivered solutions and opportunities for continuous learning. Key Responsibilities Software Design & Development • Design and implement high-quality, scalable backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot. • Analyze functional and technical specifications and translate them into feasible technical solutions. • Write clean, readable, and testable code aligned with engineering best practices. • Perform unit, integration, and performance testing to ensure solution reliability. Customer Implementation & Configuration • Configure customer systems within the Expense Management System according to internal policies and legal requirements. Maintenance, Enhancements & Problem Resolution • Implement customer-requested logic changes and configuration updates. • Investigate and resolve incidents reported by customers. • Support post–go-live enhancements and continuous solution improvement. • Debug technical issues in collaboration with Product and Functional teams. Requirements Required Skills & Experience • 2–3 years of commercial experience as a Software Developer or Implementation Engineer. • Solid experience with Java and Spring Boot in backend development. • Good knowledge of SQL, XML, and REST APIs. • Unit and integration testing. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows. • Experience with Git and collaborative development in Agile teams. • Very good command of English (C1/C2) – daily communication with international stakeholders. Nice to Have • Experience with JavaScript, JSON, or configuration-driven systems. • Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Gradle, OpenShift, or similar tools. • Previous exposure to SAFe / Agile environments. • Experience in customer-facing roles or working directly with business stakeholders. • Knowledge of cloud or containerized environments.
