Opis stanowiska

We are looking for a Staff Python Developer to expand our small remotely working team. Join us to develop internal core banking tools and customer-facing services for banking products. Systems developed by the group are used by customers daily and are critical to the company's success. They are based on Django and PostgreSQL and are deployed to AWS. In addition, you will play a central role in the development of new features and integration with third-party systems to improve the workflows of commercial teams worldwide. Responsibilities: • Design and implement software solutions and integrations with third-party systems to support business activities • Introduce and advocate for coding best practices, ensure well-tested and maintainable code • Collaborate with other engineers, product managers and UX designers throughout the development to involve them in the decision making and set expectations • Contribute to the documentation to share knowledge and increase the team's expertise • Investigate and apply new technologies to make our systems simpler and more efficient • Experience designing and building scalable backend services and APIs • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure • Strong database expertise: PostgreSQL/MySQL, NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.) • Strong CI/CD and DevOps practices knowledge • Experience with observability tooling:Logging, Monitoring, Tracing • Understanding of security best practices and secure coding standards • 100% commitment to our team - we maintain a single-employment policy Leadership & Staff-Level Expectation: • Strong system design and architectural decision-making skills • Ability to mentor senior and mid-level engineers • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives across multiple teams • Strong system design and architectural decision-making skills • Ability to mentor senior and mid-level engineers • Experience driving engineering standards and best practices • Ability to influence technical direction without direct authority • Strong ownership mindset and ability to lead ambiguous projects • Ability to balance delivery speed with technical quality and scalability What we offer: • Competitive salary tailored to your skills and experience • Participation in the company stock option program (equity) • 20 paid days off annually, starting after a 3-month trial period • No corporate nonsense — just real work, focused engineering, and minimal process overhead • Flexible work environment with trust-based collaboration • Opportunity to work on meaningful, technically challenging projects • Direct communication and fast decision-making processes
