We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead (Java / Angular) to join a cross-functional technology team working on a modern data-driven platform supporting complex business processes within the life sciences sector.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role — you will combine software development with technical decision-making, solution design and supporting the development team.
Requirements:
• Several years of professional experience in software development, with strong expertise in Java.
• Solid experience with Angular and modern frontend development.
• Previous experience as a Tech Lead, Senior Developer, or in a similar technical leadership role.
• Good understanding of software architecture, design patterns and engineering best practices.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and working with distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD and version control.
• Ability to balance hands-on development with technical leadership and mentoring.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an international, cross-functional environment.
• Good command of English.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of software engineers.
• Design and develop scalable backend solutions using Java and modern frontend applications using Angular.
• Make architectural and technical decisions, ensuring solutions are maintainable, secure and fit for purpose.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business stakeholders, product owners and other technical teams.
• Drive best practices around software development, code quality, testing and engineering standards.
• Review code and provide technical feedback and mentoring to team members.
• Identify technical risks and propose effective solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools and ways of working.
• Stay hands-on with development and actively contribute to delivering key features
