Technical Team Leader - FX Systems team

Nasze wymagania: Minimum of 3 years on a technology lead position, being responsible for the system design and architecture. Minimum 3 years of leadership experience (leading remote/distributed teams, mentoring, coaching). Minimum of 8 years of professional experience as a software engineer in a full-stack capacity. Proven track record in designing large scale distributed systems with Java technologies. Strong technology background, hands-on experience in development of Systems based on Java. Experience in building CI/CD pipelines and automation of the overall SDLC process. In-depth Understanding of various Databases and popular Web frameworks. Excellent knowledge of communication and integrations patterns & tools (JMS, Rest API, Kafka). Fluent with Agile operating models. Excellent communication skills, fluent English. Experience with microservice architecture. Familiar with cloud technologies, knowledge of OpenShift (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong problem-solving skills. BS degree in Technology and/or equivalent work experience. O projekcie: We are looking for a Technical Team Leader to join our FX Systems team in Kraków. In this role you will act as a hands-on Tech Leader to drive the architecture, design decisions and development for BBH Foreign Exchange products. FX Systems team supports trading platforms and tools for Foreign Exchange department in Brown Brothers Harriman. BBH’s currency traders located in several locations around the world (New York, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo) use applications that are designed and developed by FX Systems team in Kraków and New York. In addition to trading execution, FX Systems is responsible for multiple FX transaction workflows related to routing, aggregation, and netting. Zakres obowiązków: Providing technical leadership by acting as a hands-on Tech Lead to drive the architecture and design decisions. In collaboration with other functional and engineering leads you will be responsible for creating and evolving technical engineering strategy for Foreign Exchange Systems. Leading a distributed team of engineers and ensuring they adhere to project goals and timelines. Providing technical expertise, mentorship, and oversight to ensure efficient and effective project execution. Working with leadership, product management and platform teams across our business unit to ensure business requirements are met effectively accounting for scalability, testability, security, resiliency Driving for Automation, challenge the status quo and drive automation of manual processes. Inspire teams to embrace this philosophy. Conducting technical research and providing recommendations. Defining the technology stack for the department and making sure it’s up to date with the latest industry standards. Using your technical experience and leadership skills (e.g., through mentoring and coaching) to participate in growth of engineers of the broader FX Systems team. Providing technical supervision over projects, performing code and design reviews, and defining software development standards for the team. Identify issues, risks, and improvement opportunities. Help addressing process and technical issues to make sure SDLC process is efficient.
