About Ludus AI We don’t just use AI; we build the tools that bring it into the heart of Unreal Engine. With 26,000+ users and partnerships with industry giants, Ludus AI is automating C++, Blueprints, and 3D asset generation. We’re looking for a Developer who wants to go under the hood of the engine, not just use it to make games. Check it out at https://ludusengine.com 🚀. Why this role exists You will be the architect of our plugin's core. Your goal is to ensure that when a developer uses Ludus AI, the integration is seamless, performant, and feels like a native part of UE5. You’re not just shipping features; you’re building the "Developer Experience" for thousands of creators. What you will do • Deep Engine Integration: Develop and maintain our native C++ plugin, ensuring stability across UE5.x versions. • Workflow Innovation: Workflow Innovation: Translate complex AI capabilities (code/asset generation) into intuitive User Interface and Editor tools. • Performance Engineering: Profile and optimize the plugin to ensure zero-lag impact on the user’s editor experience. • Tech Advocacy: Collaborate on the roadmap—decide which new UE5 features (like PCG or Substrate) we should support next. Requirements • UE Experience: 5+ years of experience with Unreal Engine (C++ focused). Expert knowledge of UE internals/Editor scripting. • C++ Mastery: Clean, maintainable code is a must. You should be comfortable with memory management and multi-threading in UE. • Tooling Mindset: You enjoy building tools for other developers, not just game logic. • Independence: We work in a "high trust, high autonomy" remote model. • Communication: English (B2/C1) for documentation and team syncs. • Komunikacja: Sprawnie komunikujesz się w języku polskim. • Culture: A solid sense of humor (memes are our second language). Nice to have • Experience with Slate/UMG for custom Editor UI. • Knowledge of Python (for automation), Web technologies (for frontend) and Docker. • Familiarity with AI/LLM integration patterns. What we offer • Real Impact: Your code will be used by thousands of gamedevs globally. • Total Autonomy: One weekly sync, no micro-management, 100% remote (anywhere). • Deep Tech Stack: Work on the intersection of AI and low-level Engine code. • Stability: Fully funded startup with a proven product-market fit.
