Yocto Engineer

For our client, we are currently looking for a Yocto Engineer who will join a team responsible for the technical aspects of an innovative project in the field of genetic diagnostics. The role focuses on developing and maintaining embedded Linux environments, build systems, and low-level software solutions for advanced medical technology products. Key responsibilities • Creating, customizing, and maintaining Yocto-based build environments • Developing and optimizing embedded Linux systems • Integrating hardware and software components • Managing kernel configuration, patching, and real-time Linux solutions • Working with various build systems and toolchains • Troubleshooting complex build and runtime issues • Supporting secure boot implementation for ARM and x86 architectures Ideal candidate profile • Strong experience with Yocto Project and BitBake • Very good knowledge of Embedded Linux • Experience with build systems such as CMake, Make, and Autotools • Advanced programming skills in C/C++, Python, and Shell scripting • Experience with ARM and x86 architectures • Knowledge of cross-compilation, toolchains, and build optimization • Experience with Linux kernel configuration, patching, and kernel modules • Good understanding of systemd and init systems • Strong knowledge of Git • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills Conditions • Work model: Hybrid • Location: Wrocław • Contract type: B2B • Rate: 130–150 PLN net/hour • Benefits: private medical care, life insurance, Multisport card Recruitment steps • Phone call with a Recruiter (approx. 30 minutes) • Interview with the Client • Decision and feedback
