Are you an experienced AI Data Engineer with deep hands‑on expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Azure data engineering?
emagine has an opportunity for you to support the design, optimisation, and scaling of modern data pipelines and lakehouse architectures driving advanced analytics and AI initiatives within a global, collaborative team.
Key Tasks & Deliverables
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Dataflows, Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake)
• Develop ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows across Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, and Azure Functions
• Implement and optimise Delta Lake architectures for structured and unstructured datasets
• Build production-grade, reusable data products supporting analytics, ML, and AI use cases
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to operationalise models (Azure ML, Fabric Data Science, Databricks)
• Prepare feature-engineered datasets for machine learning workloads
• Implement MLOps practices (automated deployment, monitoring, observability)
• Establish data quality, lineage, and governance frameworks using Fabric and Azure Purview
• Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security standards
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and version control (Azure DevOps / GitHub)
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring within the engineering team
Skills & Experience
• Strong experience as a Data Engineer / AI Engineer in enterprise environments
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Engineering, Data Pipelines)
• Deep knowledge of Azure data ecosystem, including:• Azure Data Factory
• Azure Databricks / Spark
• Azure Synapse Analytics
• Azure Storage / ADLS Gen2
• Azure Functions
• Azure Machine Learning
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data transformation and processing
• Proven experience building lakehouse and Delta Lake architectures
• Solid understanding of DevOps / MLOps practices (testing, CI/CD, automation)
• Experience with data governance tools (Azure Purview or Fabric governance)
