Business Analyst – Tax Domain
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with knowledge of the Tax domain to join an international team developing a global technology product focused on tax processes and compliance.
This is a role at the intersection of Tax, Business Analysis and IT. You will work closely with business and tax stakeholders, Product Owners and development teams to understand tax-related needs and translate them into clear requirements for a global software product.
Your Responsibilities
• Analyze and document business and tax requirements for a global software product.
• Work directly with business and tax stakeholders to understand processes, regulations and business needs.
• Translate tax-related requirements into clear functional requirements for development teams.
• Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria and backlog items.
• Facilitate workshops and requirement-gathering sessions with stakeholders.
• Analyze existing business and tax processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers and other business and technology teams.
• Manage competing requirements and support prioritization.
• Ensure that solutions meet relevant business and tax requirements.
• Take into account differences between countries and regulatory environments when working on global solutions.
Requirements
• Experience as a Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst, Functional Analyst or in a similar role.
• Practical knowledge or professional experience in the Tax domain.
• Experience with requirements gathering, analysis and documentation.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements for IT teams.
• Experience working with software development or product teams.
• Familiarity with user stories, acceptance criteria and product backlogs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Very good command of English.
Tax Knowledge
We are open to candidates with different levels of Tax expertise and experience from different markets.
Knowledge of European Tax regulations is highly valued, but it is not mandatory.
Experience with areas such as:

VAT
•
CIT / Corporate Income Tax
• Tax Compliance
• Tax Reporting
• Tax Calculation
• other Tax-related processes
will be relevant.
Experience focused on the Polish market is also welcome. If you have strong knowledge of Polish VAT or CIT, this can be a very good foundation for working with tax requirements across other European markets.
Nice to Have
• Experience in Tax Technology or Tax Software.
• Experience working with Tax Compliance, Tax Reporting or Tax Calculation systems.
• Knowledge of Tax regulations across multiple European markets.
• Experience working on global products or enterprise-scale solutions.
• Previous experience in an international environment.
