Opis stanowiska
We're building insurance products that genuinely work for customers - and we need someone who loves getting the details right. As our Product/System Analyst, you take a product direction and turn it into something engineering can actually ship: clear flows, edge cases thought through, tickets that don't generate five follow-up questions. You'll lead refinement sessions and be the go-to person when engineers need to understand exactly how something should behave. This role is for someone who finds satisfaction in precision, not ambiguity. What you'll do • Translate product requirements into detailed system specifications - flows, edge cases, data behavior, integration logic • Write and maintain Jira tickets: keep them sharp and ensure they're genuinely ready before they hit a sprint • Lead refinement sessions - come prepared, drive the discussion, and surface open questions before they become blockers • Partner closely with engineers on implementation details; you're their first call, not a last resort • Document how our systems talk to each other - internal services, payment providers, underwriting engines, notification flows What we're looking for: • 2+ year of experience as a Business Analyst, System Analyst, or in a similar role • Proven experience writing detailed functional specs or system documentation • Skilled at turning high-level requirements into well-structured Jira tickets: clear scope, covered edge cases, testable acceptance criteria • Strong systems thinking: you instinctively consider failure paths, edge cases, and downstream effects • Comfortable in close, day-to-day collaboration with software engineers • Curious about complex business domains - insurance logic (policies, claims, refunds) is learnable, but you need to enjoy that kind of depth • Fluent in both English and Polish What we offer: • Real ownership from day one - small team (under 20) means your work is visible and your voice matters • Our compensation is paid bi-weekly • Stock options and a yearly bonus on top of your base salary • Unlimited PTO • Hybrid work: 1–2 days in our Kraków office, the rest is yours to manage • A modern toolset: Notion, Miro, Figma, Jira, Confluence • Company trips to our US office Work setup: Hybrid, 2 days/week from our office in northern Kraków. Partial US timezone overlap required - core hours starting between 9-11 AM Polish time.
