Cloud Data Engineer - Hybrid Madrid

Dear Consultant, We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, supporting enterprise data architectures, and ensuring data quality, reliability, and performance across cloud environments. Location: Spain (Hybrid – onsite visits to Madrid required) Start Date: Mid-April Duration: 3 Months Language: English & Spanish (Fluent required) Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and deploy high-performance data pipelines (batch & streaming) • Build and maintain data lakes and data warehouses on GCP • Ensure data quality, reliability, security, and scalability • Support enterprise cloud solution design and delivery • Work closely with stakeholders to deliver data solutions aligned with business needs • Automate infrastructure provisioning and support CI/CD processes ✅ Essential Skills & Experience • 5+ years of experience in cloud data engineering • Strong experience with data pipelines (streaming & batch) • Hands-on experience with data lakes and data warehouses on GCP • Strong experience with: BigQuery • SQL • Data ingestion • Data tokenization • Airflow • Strong programming skills in Python (data structures, algorithms, system design) • Experience with DevOps / CI / CD / infrastructure automation • Experience designing and delivering enterprise cloud solutions • Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification (required) • Fluent in English and Spanish ⭐ Preferred Experience • Technical consulting experience • Advanced SQL tuning and performance optimization • Experience with Looker • Experience building streaming pipelines and event-driven architectures • Experience delivering production-grade Big Data solutions on public cloud • Experience collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and engineers
