Data Architect & Data Engineer

Introduction & Summary The primary goal of this Data Architect role at the senior consultant level is to establish and govern the cost data architecture within the organization, ensuring consistency, traceability, and compliance across all cost-related domains. The ideal candidate must possess strong platform architecture experience with Azure and excellent data modeling proficiency. Main Responsibilities • Deliver the SSOT target data architecture, including core models, taxonomy, and standards to enhance cost-data onboarding and reuse. • Drive cross-functional data mapping and harmonization to minimize ambiguity and ensure consistent reporting across various departments including Purchasing, Finance, R&D, Programs, and Plants. • Establish governance structures for ownership, stewardship, access, and validation to improve compliance, control, and decision clarity. • Guarantee end-to-end lineage and traceability of cost figures to ensure they are explainable, auditable, and impact-assessed when changes occur. • Enable pricing, forecasting, analytics, and AI by developing a business-aligned semantic layer and curated consumption standards. Key Requirements • Platform architecture experience with Azure, including ADLS Gen2, Azure Data Factory/Synapse pipelines, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, Key Vault, and Azure Monitor/Log Analytics. • Experience in designing Foundry integration, pipeline patterns, modular transforms, dataset lifecycle management. • Expertise in designing business-aligned ontology objects and KPI definitions. • Demonstrated ability in governance and compliance including access control, auditability, and model versioning. • Proficiency in data modeling such as dimensional modeling (star/snowflake), 3NF, and pragmatic denormalization. • Definitions of golden records/SSOT principles, taxonomy governance, and cross-functional harmonization. • Experience in defining data quality rules, controls, SLAs, and quality KPIs. • Knowledge of enterprise search approaches using Sinequa. • Understanding of integration patterns including resilient batch/stream processes and API integrations. • Capable of defining Git-based delivery processes, CI/CD, release management, and test strategies. • Strong leadership skills in facilitating workshops and aligning senior stakeholders. • Good understanding of the automotive product lifecycle and cost drivers. Nice to Have • Experience integrating Sinequa or similar enterprise search technologies. • Exposure to Azure DevOps for project management and CI/CD practices. • Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulations. Experience: 8+ years as a Data Architect in enterprise environments.
