Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at Orange you will join a dedicated team of 30 experts supporting our branches in Poland and other European countries. We are looking for a team player with great communication skills, unafraid to share their opinions and able to organise their work well. Besides solid technical background good ability to communicate, consult with and support the Business teams is what will make you stand out as a candidate. This position offers a hybrid or remote (from within Poland only) work models and involves some international business trips. Fluency in both Polish and English is required.   Data Engineer Your responsibilities: • Design, development and optimization of data mode • ​Cleaning, transforming and processing data to ensure its quality, consistency and compliance with business requirements • Creating and managing ETL/ELT processes • Testing data quality • Creating scripts and procedures to automate processes • Work with Analytics and Business teams to understand requirements, develop appropriate solutions, and deliver data in the right format and at the right time. • Develop and maintain documentation on data infrastructure, ETL/ELT processes, database schemas and other aspects related to data management. • Work with partners from other countries (mainly France, Belgium, Spain and Romania)   Our requirements: • Good knowledge of SQL databases (knowledge about noSQL will be an asset) • Ability to work with large amounts of data in an operational environment • Good knowledge of Python libraries and frameworks for data processing (preffered Spark/pandas) • Knowledge of English at a level allowing for communication and preparation of technical documentation • Experience in working with Linux and Git version control system   • Practical knowledge of programming environments for data analysis and Big Data technologies hosted on-prem and in Public Cloud (preferably GCP) Optional • Higher education in Computer Science, Mathematics / Statistics, Telecommunications or related • Experience in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence • Experience in data engineering for AI/ML solutions   We offer: • sharing the costs of sports activities • private medical care • free language learning platform • life insurance • corporate products and services at discounted prices • retirement pension plan • no dress code • extra social benefits • holiday funds • charity initiatives
