Data Engineer – Azure | Data Marketplace Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: 12 months+ Work Model: Remote About the Role We are looking for a proactive, dynamic, and adaptable Data Engineer to join a global, diverse, and inclusive team working on a rapidly evolving Data Marketplace platform. Due to continuous product growth, we are seeking individuals who embrace change, thrive in ambiguous environments, and can quickly contribute with minimal onboarding. You will join the Data Marketplace Ingestion team, working closely with Technical Leads, Business stakeholders, and Product Owners to expand and enhance data capabilities across multiple service lines. This role combines hands-on engineering with collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement of data products and services. Key Responsibilities • Identify and propose opportunities to continuously improve Data Marketplace data assets and services • Participate in design and development of data ingestion pipelines with a focus on stability, optimization, and traceability • Develop, test, and maintain data pipelines and processing workflows • Build resilient, fault-tolerant, and modular solutions ensuring high availability • Support near real-time data processing and consumer interaction capabilities • Contribute to documentation, reporting, and knowledge sharing • Research and implement new tools, methods, and processes to enhance data products • Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless transitions between ingestion, consumption, and activation layers Required Skills & Experience • Strong hands-on experience with Python (including debugging and performance optimization) • Solid understanding of Azure Data Engineering concepts • Practical experience with:• Azure Data Factory (ADF) • Azure Databricks (ADB) • Python / PySpark • SQL • Proven experience in building and maintaining data pipelines and data processing workflows on Azure • Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams • Ability to work in dynamic environments and quickly adapt to changing requirements Nice to Have • Experience with near real-time data processing • Familiarity with large-scale enterprise data platforms • Exposure to data product thinking and data marketplace concepts What We Offer • Private medical care • Sports cards / fitness programs • Group life insurance • Access to training platforms and professional development resources • Long-term cooperation on innovative, large-scale data solutions • Opportunity to work in a global and diverse environment • High-impact role with exposure to modern cloud data technologies
